Judith Irven: Vermont Garden Speaker
Talks and Workshops
–FROM AESTHETICS TO PRACTICALITIES–
I offer a collection of talks on the art of designing beautiful and satisfying gardens in harmony with New England’s climate and landscape. Every talk is illustrated throughout with exquisite photographs of real gardens.
For gardeners who want to learn how to design their own gardens I also provide hands-on group workshops.
I have extensive experience as a garden speaker and educator, including regular engagements at the Vermont Flower Show and Shelburne Museum‘s SpringFest, and for numerous garden clubs and other organizations around the state. For the past decade I have also been a guest lecturer for the Master Gardener class offered by University of Vermont Extension, where I teach Sustainable Home Landscaping.
Scheduled talks:
Sunday May 12 at Shelburne Museum’s SpringFest
10:30 AM: Easy on the Gardener: Gentle on the Earth
12:00 noon: A Garden for all Seasons
Thursday May 16 at the Kehoe Green Mountain Education Center, 634 Point of Pines Road, Castleton, VT
