Talks, Tours, and Workshops

I offer a collection of hour-long talks on the art and practicalities of designing beautiful and satisfying gardens in harmony with New England's climate and landscape. Each talk is illustrated throughout with exquisite photographs of real gardens.

I also offer a nine hour, hands-on Garden Design Workshop for up to six people as well as tours of my own garden.

I have extensive experience as a garden speaker and educator. For the past two decades I have been teaching the Sustainable Home Landscaping module for the Vermont Master Gardener course (through UVM Extension)  and also presenting one or more seminars at all the Vermont  Flower Shows. I have also given talks for numerous garden clubs and other organizations around Vermont and beyond.

My current talks are listed below, but do please contact me if you are interested in a special topic not shown here. Given some lead time, I can modify one of these or even develop a new talk for your organization.

With advance notice, I offer guided group tours of my Goshen garden.

And, for gardeners who want to learn how to design their own gardens, I provide longer hands-on group workshops described below.

Please contact me for the fees associated with each of these.
